University of Sydney an inaugural champion of Women in STEM Decadal Plan

Alongside the other inaugural members; ANSTO, Science & Technology Australia (STA) and Raytheon Australia, we share a commitment to working towards greater equity, diversity and inclusion within the sector.

The University of Sydney is proud to be an inaugural Champion of the Women in STEM Decadal Plan.

The Women in STEM Decadal Plan was launched in April 2019 by the Australian Academy of Science, to present a shared vision of the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) ecosystem to attract, retain and progress girls and women in STEM careers and education.

The Decadal Plan provides a framework to guide the actions of government, industry, academia and the education sector over the next ten years, to achieve gender equity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). It was developed with the input of hundreds of organisations and guidance from an expert working group of leading academics, industry professionals, researchers and education experts.

The University of Sydney is already on its way to making real change.
