Unlawful entry/Animal cruelty - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police are investigating after a violent incident in Palmerston yesterday.

At around 6:20pm, seven individuals unlawfully entered a residence in Driver, causing extensive property damage, killing a pet dog and seriously injuring another.

Commander Matthew Hollamby said, "This incident is currently being investigated by the Gangs Task Force. It is understood the offenders and victims are known to each other.

"This is horrible behaviour. A number of individuals have already been identified and they will be held to account.

"A pet dog has been violently killed and another seriously injured in a cowardly and organised attack. NT Police has zero tolerance for gang-related activity."
