Police have arrested a two people after an alleged stolen vehicle was tracked driving dangerously in the Ipswich region yesterday, 28 May.
Officers in unmarked police vehicles began tracking a stolen BWM sedan around 4:30pm after it was seen travelling on Spender Street in Riverview.
At 5:21pm, a police vehicle pulled up behind the BMW as it entered Bergin Street in Booval.
The BMW is then alleged to have deliberately reversed into the police vehicle before fleeing the scene at speed.
No one sustained any physical injuries as a result of the collision.
The BMW was observed travelling to north Brisbane and the car was located abandoned in Kedron Brook.
A 25-year-old Harlaxton man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested at an address in Wooloowin at 7.20pm.
The man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlicenced driving and stealing and will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today, 29 May.
The woman has been charged with one count of unlawful use of motor vehicle and stealing and is expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on 22 June.
The BMW was reported stolen earlier yesterday afternoon from a Sherwood Road address in Toowong. Investigations are ongoing and police are appealing to anyone with relevant information to come forward.
