Unlawful wounding at Ascot

A 20-year-old Chermside West woman has been charged following an alleged wounding at Ascot yesterday (February 2).

Police will allege the 20-year-old woman attended an address on Dobson Street around 2.30pm and became involved in a verbal altercation with a 25-year-old Ascot man known to her and a 19-year-old woman.

The 20-year-old woman allegedly stabbed the man in the chest with a knife before fleeing the scene on foot.

She was located by police a short time later and taken into custody.

She has been charged with one count each of attempted enter dwelling with intent, grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife in a public place and posses utensils or pipes that had been used and is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 2.
