About 10:00pm, it will be alleged the male attended a house party in the area where a verbal argument occurred and he was asked to leave.
The male later attended nearby Talara Park where it will be further alleged, he became involved in a physical altercation with a 16-year-old male victim, produced a large machete, and struck the victim twice before fleeing the scene on foot.
St John WA attended and conveyed the victim to Joondalup Health Campus where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The 17-year-old male presented to the Joondalup Police Station about 1:20am on Sunday, 9 November 2025. He has been charged with one count of 'Unlawful Wounding'.
He has been bailed to appear before the Joondalup Children's Court on Tuesday, 25 November 2025.
