Police are investigating an alleged wounding at a residence in Sunnybank this afternoon, 12 August.
Initial investigations indicate a 57-year-old man was involved in a verbal altercation with a man known to him at a Selwyn Street address around 5pm.
It will be alleged the man damaged property inside the home before striking the 57-year-old man with a machete, causing injuries to his arm and forehead.
The man then fled the address on foot.
The victim was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The matter is not being treated as domestic and family violence.
The man involved remains outstanding, and investigations are continuing.
