The Security Council meets at 10 a.m. for an open debate on small arms and light weapons, chaired by President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone. Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Disarmament Affairs and Deputy to the High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, Adedeji Ebo, is expected to brief the 15-member Council. Delegates have before them the Secretary-General's latest report (document S/2025/670 ) on the matter, submitted on a biennial basis pursuant to resolution 2220 (2015).
