Cessnock City Council invites readers and fans of crime fiction to a captivating author talk with Darcy Tindale at Cessnock Library on Saturday 17 May, from 11am – 12pm, where she will discuss her latest novel, Burning Mountain.
Set in the landscape of the Upper Hunter Valley, Burning Mountain is a gripping outback noir thriller that unearths long-buried secrets. The novel follows Detective Rebecca Giles as she investigates the chilling discovery of a teenage boy's remains on Mount Wingen, nearly two decades after his mysterious disappearance during a hike in 2006.
Darcy Tindale brings a unique voice and authenticity to her work, drawing on her upbringing in the Upper Hunter Valley and her extensive experience as an actor, author, theatre sports player, and director. Her debut novel, The Fall Between, was released in 2023, garnering critical acclaim, earning nominations for both the Davitt and Ned Kelly Awards.
Library Services Co-ordinator, Rose-marie Walters, encourages the community to attend this special event.
