The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) continues to make great progress on the Botany Rail Duplication project, with an upcoming five-day period of major works to be carried out by contractor John Holland, including the demolition and installation of a new rail bridge deck at O'Riordan Street.

Works will take place from 2:00pm Friday 25th August until 2:00pm Wednesday 30th August. Freight services will not have access to Port Botany or Cooks River during this period. There will be no impacts to passenger train services.

O'Riordan Street will be closed to vehicles between Robey Street and Joyce Drive from 11:00pm Friday 25th August to 5.00am Monday 28th August to allow for the removal of the existing bridge and installation of a new bridge deck.

During the closure, a Special Event Clearway will be in place on the eastern side of Botany Road (southbound), between Gardeners Road and Wentworth Avenue. Visit livetraffic.com
