Paid Parking To Commence At Griffith Regional Airport

Griffith City Council advises that paid parking at Griffith Regional Airport will commence on Thursday, 12 November 2026.

The new ticketless parking system uses Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to scan vehicle number plates on entry and exit, meaning no paper ticket is required.

The parking fees are:

Payment is by card, with an automated pay station located within the terminal building. Airport users will have 20 minutes to exit the car park after making payment.

Griffith Mayor, Doug Curran, said the new system would provide a more effective way to manage parking at the airport.

"The first hour will remain free, allowing people dropping off or picking up passengers, or making a short visit to the airport, to do so without paying for parking," he said

"We thank airport users for their patience while the new system has been installed and tested."

The new system has been introduced to better manage short and long-term parking and improve safety. CCTV is also active throughout the airport car park.
