UPDATE Disturbance at Burleigh Waters, QLD

Police investigating a disturbance at a licensed premises at Burleigh Waters on February 25 this year have charged two men in connection to the incident, Queensland Police say.

During the disturbance at a Santa Maria Court premises it is alleged a man sustained a wound to his chest from a knife and was treated at the Gold Coast University Hospital for non-life endangering injuries.

A 20-year-old Burleigh Waters man and a 24-year-old Robina man have each been charged with affray.

They are due to face Southport Magistrates Court on April 4, 2017.

Investigations are continuing.
