Update from Acting Chief Officer Garry Cook

I am proud to announce the launch of the Brigade Management Manual (BMM) Portal which can be accessed through the CFA intranet.

Update from Acting Chief Officer Garry Cook

The new BMM, launched in June 2019, included a complete review and rewrite of existing material as well as the development of new sections, topics and features. It was made available to members both online (PDF) and print format.

Based on user feedback, a BMM online portal has now been developed for ease of use.

The portal allows users to easily navigate and find the required information.

The portal is also PC, mobile and tablet friendly, and allows for individual pages of the BMM to be printed with ease if required.

You can access the portal via www.cfa.vic.gov.au/bmm (CFA member username and password required) from 4 August 2020. The PDF version of this product remains available via Members Online.

The full review of the BMM scheduled for June 2020 has been postponed until early 2021.

A light review has been conducted focusing primarily on position title changes (i.e. Operations Manager to Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Assistant Chief Officers to Regional Deputy Chief Officers etc.).

These changes have been applied to the digital version of the BMM. A memo has been distributed to brigade Secretaries outlining these changes with a recommendation to print and update hard copies for consistency. A list of these changes can be found under Latest Updates on the CFA Intranet.
