Update – Homicide investigation in Loganlea, QLD

Detectives have charged a man with murder following the death of a 33-year-old Meadowbrook man in Loganlea this morning, Queensland Police say.

Around 1.45am police and emergency services were called a University Drive address following reports of an alleged altercation between two men.

A 33-year-old man received an injury to his neck as a result and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 27-year-old Annerley man has been charged with one count of murder.

He has also been charged with two counts of serious assault police after allegedly spitting in the faces of two female officers.

Both constables received medical treatment.

The man is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Investigators are asking any members of the public who have information in relation to this matter, who have not already provided it, to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
