As stated by a Police spokesperson:
One person has been charged, following an incident on Batty Road, Karaka on 5 January, 2023 where an injured person was found in a critical condition.
A 43-year-old man is appearing in the Manukau District Court this morning charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The investigation continues to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
