Due to the landslip on the Warburton Highway caused by the October flood event, works on the Cement Creek Road Bridge upgrade have been delayed.
This means that vehicle access to the Redwoods Forest will remain closed, the forest can however still be accessed by foot or bike via the O'Shannassy Aqueduct Trail during this time. Please keep in mind though that this is a 16km round trip.
To continue the safety upgrades to the bridge, Council needs to bring in heavy machinery to the site, however the landslip on Warburton Highway means getting this machinery onto the site isn't possible until the highway is repaired by VicRoads.
