Update on tree clean up works from storms

Council is continuing to work through the unprecedented volume of tree clean up requests across Yarra Ranges following the storm events on 9 June and 29 October.

Council's Parks and Bushland team and contractors have been working tirelessly on the clean-up, and while great inroads have been made, the most recent storm and the large number of fallen trees across the municipality has increased the amount of work needed to clear roadsides.

Council has been prioritising tree safety and emergency works, and as a result, residents will continue to see tree debris along roadsides and in parks and reserves for some time. Clean up works are anticipated to continue into early January.

Council thanks the community for their patience while it continues to work through clean-up requests as quickly as possible.
