Update to Council operations following easing of restrictions

Colac Otway Shire Council – update on services following easing of restrictions at 11.59pm Tuesday 27 July 2021.

As per advice from Victoria's Chief Health Officer, the following COVID-19 restrictions apply across all Council facilities:

- Masks must be worn indoors and outdoors

- You must check in at each venue

Council Customer Service

The Customer Service Centre in Colac will reopen to the public from 8.30am Wednesday 28 July. GORVIC and the Customer Service Centre in Apollo Bay will open from 9am Wednesday 28 July.

Colac Visitor Information Centre

While interstate travel restrictions remain in place, the Colac Visitor Information Centre will remain closed. Council will provide further information on reopening of the Colac VIC next week (Wednesday 4 August).

Bluewater Leisure Centre

Bluewater Leisure Centre, including gym, pool, childcare and stadium, will reopen to the public from 6am Wednesday 28 July. A density limit of 1 person per 4sqm will apply.

Group fitness classes and swim school will recommence from Thursday 29 July (classes capped at 10 people, pre-booking classes is essential).

Access to 24/7 Gym remains closed at this time.

Colac Regional Saleyards

Sales at Colac Regional Saleyards will reopen to the public for the fat sale this Thursday, July 29 with social distancing and mask rules in place, in accordance with State Government COVID19 restrictions.

COPACC & Colac Cinemas

COPACC and Colac Cinemas will reopen to the public Thursday 29 July with limited capacity and mask rules in place, in accordance with State Government COVID-19 restrictions. Visit www.colaccinemas.com.au/ for screening and booking information.

Sale of Bruce Street, Colac – Community Information Sessions

The community information session regarding the sale of Council owned land at Bruce Street, Colac will take place on:

When: Tuesday 3 August. Community members are welcome to drop-in any time between 9am - 11am or 5pm – 7pm.

Where: COPACC, 95 Gellibrand Street, Colac.

A density limit of 1 person per 4sqm will apply in accordance with State Government COVID-19 restrictions.

July Council Meeting

The July Council meeting will be held on:

Wednesday 28 July 2021, 4pm

The meeting will be held virtually by videoconference. Council meetings are livestreamed on Council's You Tube channel www.youtube.com.
