Update to the advertising complaints and investigation information database improves search features

New search options added to the advertising complaints and investigation information database make it easier to find information about advertising complaints and investigations.

This update implements feedback from stakeholders to make the database more user-friendly.

Users can now sort complaints by risk category, responsible party, and type of therapeutic good. Complaints can also be organised by outcome, actions, date, type of breach, or located by reference number.

Searching has been enhanced with a new filtering capability that enables partial word matches. Search results will soon be able to be saved in the CSV file format for data analysis in a spreadsheet program.

The TGA publishes the outcomes of all advertising complaints, including the action we have taken on the complaint. For complaints in the medium risk category or higher, we publish additional information such as the responsible party and the products involved in the complaint.

These changes ensure that consumers have access to the latest information about therapeutic goods advertising compliance in Australia.
