Update2: Charges - suspicious behaviour in Lawnton

Detectives have charged a man following investigations into allegations a girl was grabbed by a man in Lawnton on February 9.

The 11-year-old was walking on the Francis Road overpass at 3.20pm when she was allegedly approached by an unknown man who grabbed her and pulled her to the ground.

It will further be alleged the man fled to a what detectives described as a black Holden Captiva on Park Lane and leaving the scene.

A 29-year-old Lawnton man has been charged with taking a child for an immoral purpose, indecent treatment of a child and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to appear before the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.
