Updated Cross Border Travel Associated Direction 23 September, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel Associated No 52) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel Associated No 53) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 5:08 pm on Thursday, 23 September 2021.

Key changes include:

By 12.01 am on Thursday, 7 October: Commercial Transport and Freight Workers entering South Australia by road must have at least one TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccination (previously this was by 27 September).

By 12.01 am on Monday, 11 October: Essential Travellers entering South Australia as National and State Security and Governance, Emergency Services Workers, Remote or Isolated Worker, Specialist Workers in Essential Sectors, NSW Cross Border Community Members, Passing Through, and Foreign Diplomatic or Consular Staff must have at least one TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccination (previously this was by 24 September).

Other existing requirements remain.
