Updated Residential Aged Care Facilities Direction 20 August 2021, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities Direction No 40) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities Direction No 41) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This came into effect at 10.57 am on Friday 20 August 2021.

From 10 September 2021, all people entering a Residential Aged Care Facility including staff, contractors, volunteers and visitors are to use the approved contact tracing system, COVID-19 SAfe check-in app (QR code), or if they are unable to use this system provide relevant contact details in a written form as per the current requirements of clause 7 of the Emergency Management (Activities-General No 3) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. Operators are required to implement this change.

Until 10 September 2021, a Residential Aged Care Facility is required to keep a register at the point of entry to be completed by visitors, volunteers, visiting health care professionals and contractors.
