A man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged wounding incident at Wondunna this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 9:15am, police responded to a Mungara Court address following reports of two people suffering from stab wounds.
A 50-year-old man and 82-year-old woman were transported to Hervey Bay Hospital where they remain tonight after undergoing surgery.
A 39-year-old man from Lismore, who is known to the pair, has been charged at a bedside hearing this evening with two counts of attempted murder.
He is expected to appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court tomorrow.
