Peter Gutwein,Minister for Environment, Parks and Heritage

Visitors to Remarkable Cave will be able to enjoy greatly improved infrastructure following the upgrade to the popular Tasman Peninsula site.

Reopening to the public on 1 November, the $2.13 million upgrades include new parking for more than 60 cars, long vehicles and buses; more efficient and safer one way roads; a new coastal viewing area with improved accessibility; cave viewing area improvements with elevated walkways and a renovated toilet.

The Tasmanian way of life is the envy of the world, and being able to easily access our national parks and experience all they have to offer is part what makes our lifestyle so special.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is investing an unprecedented $31 million over four years to future-proof our parks infrastructure and enhance the experiences for locals and visitors

The parking and viewing facilities construction were completed by Tasmanian contractors Hazell Bros Group and AJR Construct, while Parks and Wildlife staff completed the toilet renovation. The work was jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments.
