Urgent appeal to locate missing teenager from Inner West

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing teenager from the Inner West.

Matias Estech, aged 15, was last seen about 7.30pm today (Saturday 26 March 2022) boarding a bus on Liverpool Road, Ashfield, heading towards Strathfield.

When he could not be located his carer contacted police.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Police have family have serious concerns for Matias's wellbeing as he lives with autism.

He is described as being of South American appearance, 162cm, medium build, olive skin and short dark straight hair.

Matias was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with white motif on the front, blue jeans and camel-coloured boots.

He is known to frequent both the rail and light rail networks as well as attending the vicinity of Town Hall in the Sydney CBD.

Matias has a fascination of motorbikes and may approach both the bike and rider.

Inquiries have established that at 9.57pm he may have been at Circular Quay.
