Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak to discuss the impacts of Russia's unprovoked, unjust war against Ukraine. Secretary Austin lauded Poland's strong commitment to supporting the defense needs of Ukraine's forces and expressed his appreciation for hosting additional U.S. forces. The two leaders also exchanged ideas on further enhancing deterrence and defense efforts along NATO's Eastern Flank.
