USAID Chief Power Discusses with Mexico's Bárcena

On November 3, USAID Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Mexican Foreign Secretary Alicia Bárcena to underscore USAID's support for the Mexican-led humanitarian response to Hurricane Otis in Acapulco.

Administrator Power and Foreign Secretary Bárcena discussed the response and recovery from Hurricane Otis to date, including USAID's contribution to the Mexican Red Cross for immediate relief items and other ongoing support from the United States. Administrator Power expressed the solidarity of the American people with Mexico in the wake of the destructive and deadly storm, and Administrator Power and Foreign Secretary Bárcena agreed to remain in close touch about the progress of the response.
