Use of credit card in Preston

Police are investigating the theft and use of a credit card at a shopping centre in Preston last month.

The owner of the credit card attended a food outlet at the Murray Road shopping centre just after 2pm on 29 February.

She used her credit card but accidentally left it the eftpos machine and it is alleged the female in line behind her took the card.

The card was then used at six stores in the shopping centre to purchase clothing and cigarettes.

The female is described as aged in her 20s with a medium build and long brown hair and was wearing a black singlet, black leggings and has a tattoo on her left shoulder and arm.

Investigators have released images of a female they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
