Utz Reserve Upgrade Complete

The City of Canada Bay has completed an upgrade of Utz Reserve in Drummoyne, making the picturesque pocket park more accessible and inviting for the whole community.

"The City of Canada Bay is home to more than 38 kilometres of shoreline along the Parramatta River," Mayor Michael Megna said.

"We are committed to improving access to and enjoyment of the foreshore for our community, and the upgrade of Utz Reserve reflects that commitment."

Located a short walk from Drummoyne Wharf and boasting uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour, Utz Reserve is a hidden gem among locals, offering a quiet place to relax and unwind. The upgrade included the installation of a new pedestrian ramp, park benches, a platform and terraced sandstone seating - offering visitors improved access and opportunities to enjoy the water views.

As part of the works, Council also upgraded critical infrastructure including a reconstruction of the existing retaining wall and stormwater trench and pit.
