Police have charged a 27-year-old man in relation to several vegetation fires in Blackswamp near Chinchilla on 1 October.
It will be alleged around 12.20pm, six vegetation fires were deliberately lit in a grassy area near Blackswamp Road, during a total fire ban in the area.
The fires were extinguished and there were no reported injuries.
Following investigations, police located and arrested a 27-year-old Wandoan man leaving the area a short time later.
He has since been charged with multiple offences including, six counts of setting fire to vegetation (grass) and one count of possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear before Chinchilla Magistrates Court today, 2 October.
