A 49-year-old man is in a critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Barron yesterday afternoon.
At 5.25pm, the man was walking to the side of Lower Freshwater Road when he was struck by the vehicle.
He was transported to the Cairns Hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
The 35-year-old male driver of the Nissan Navara was not physically injured during the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
