Vehicle Arson In Alice Springs 20 July

The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating an alleged vehicle arson incident involving two vehicles in Alice Springs in the early hours of this morning.

Around 1:20am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a blue Holden Commodore was engulfed in flames in a carpark in Nicker Crescent in Gillen.

Upon arrival, police located a second blue Holden Commodore also engulfed in flames.

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished both fires, and no injuries were reported to police.

A crime scene was declared, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. At this stage, police believe the fires were deliberately lit.
