Greensborough Highway Patrol officers impounded a vehicle after it was observed speeding in Epping last night.
Officers detected a 2002 black Subaru sedan allegedly travelling at 133km/h in a 70km/h section of Edgars Road on Wednesday, 17 November about 10pm.
Police intercepted the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 19-year-old probationary licence holder from Greenvale.
He is expected to be charged on summons with excessive speed and other traffic offences.
His car was impounded for 30 days with towing costs of $896.
