Vehicle sought in Port Augusta hit-run investigation, South Australia

Major Crash Investigators are seeking to identify a light coloured dual cab ute following a fatal hit-run crash last week at Port Augusta.

Police are investigating the hit-run after a man's body was located on Rogers Street at about 3am on Friday 21 February.

A 29-year-old man from the Eyre Peninsula who was found deceased at the location, suffered injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.

Major Crash Investigators are yet to identify the driver or the vehicle involved in the collision.

CCTV from the local area shows a light coloured dual cab 4WD utility travelling south-west on Carlton Parade, towards the township of Port Augusta at 2.25am on the morning of the collision.

Police are now seeking to identify the vehicle and driver, that maybe able to assist in the investigation.
