Venice Commission publishes new opinions

At its latest Plenary Session in Venice on 15 and 16 December, the Council of Europe's body of constitutional legal experts, the Venice Commission, has examined eight draft opinions and amicus curiae briefs concerning Armenia, Georgia, Kosovo, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine.

Among them are those on draft amendments to the Election Code and to the Rule of Procedure of the Parliament of Georgia, and on the Law on the Fight against Corruption concerning the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Georgia, as well as a follow-up opinion on amendments to the Electoral Code and other related laws concerning ineligibility of persons connected to political parties declared unconstitutional in the Republic of Moldova.
