Victorian Cricket Toasts Award Winners For Season 25/26

Sam Harper and Tess Flintoff have headlined Cricket Victoria's State and Big Bash awards this evening, with Harper claiming a clean sweep of the men's major honours following a standout 2025/26 campaign.

Harper was awarded the Bill Lawry Medal as the state's best player throughout the Sheffield Shield season.

In a dominant campaign, the wicketkeeper-batter amassed 677 runs at an average of 35.63, including a career-best unbeaten 141, two centuries and three half-centuries, playing a pivotal role in Victoria's success across the season.

Harper also claimed the Dean Jones Medal as the state's best player in the One-Day Cup competition, alongside the John Scholes Medal, voted on by his teammates as the player who best exemplifies Victorian values.

Capping off a remarkable summer, Harper was also named the Melbourne Stars BBL Player of the Year after a sensational tournament with the bat. He scored 381 runs at an average of 54.42 and a strike rate of 155.51, highlighted by a highest score of 110* and a series of match winning performances at the top of the order.

In the women's program, Tess Flintoff was awarded the Sharon Tredrea Award as the standout Victorian player during the WNCL season.

Flintoff delivered a superb all-round campaign, scoring 347 runs at an average of 43.37, including a century with a highest score of 101. Her ability to influence matches and perform under pressure made her a deserving recipient of the award.

The twenty-three-year-old also claimed the Players' Player award to cap off an impressive summer for Victoria.

In Big Bash honours, Josh Brown was named the Melbourne Renegades BBL Player of the Year following an explosive season at the top of the order. Brown scored 311 runs at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 150.24, with a highest score of 84, consistently providing momentum and impact for the Renegades.

Georgia Wareham claimed the Renegades WBBL Player of the Year after a dominant all-round campaign. Wareham scored 227 runs at an average of 39.57, with a highest score of 58, while also finishing as the competition's leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets at an average of 10.94 and an economy rate of 5.47.

At the Melbourne Stars, Meg Lanning was named WBBL Player of the Year following another outstanding season at the crease. Lanning amassed 479 runs at an average of 53.22 and a strike rate of 136, including a highest score of 135, continuing to lead from the front with consistency and class.
