Vision Australia Radio has achieved a new milestone, securing nine finalist nominations at the upcoming Community Broadcasting Awards – the highest number in the network's 42-year history.
The achievement builds on the network's success in 2024, when its disability radio network was recognised with a record eight nominations.
This year's nominations highlight Vision Australia Radio's impact across multiple areas of broadcasting, from youth leadership and sports coverage to disability engagement, podcasting, and outside broadcasts.
Vision Australia Radio and Audio Manager Conrad Browne said the recognition reflects the dedication and creativity of the network's volunteers and staff.
"Each nomination reflects the passion of our team who work tirelessly to make broadcasting accessible, engaging, and inclusive. These awards celebrate the people who believe in the power of radio to connect communities," said Conrad.
"It also demonstrates how critical radio is as a medium for listeners with a disability and why our mission to deliver accessible and quality content will continue."
