Council is encouraging the community to vote for three local park projects shortlisted through the Victorian Government's Pick My Park grant program.
The program supports improvements to local parks and playgrounds, with funding allocated to successful projects that receive strong community support.
Community participation is an important part of the process, with residents encouraged to have their say on which parks should receive investment and improved facilities.
The shortlisted local projects in Nillumbik are:
- Alan Marshall Reserve upgrade
- Eucalyptus Road Playground upgrade
- Rotunda and memorial cairn, Plenty Heritage Park
Mayor Cr Naomi Joiner said the shortlisted projects reflected Council's commitment to providing welcoming, accessible and well-maintained open spaces for the community.
"Parks and open spaces are essential community assets that support health, wellbeing and connection," Mayor Cr Joiner said.
"As our community continues to grow, it is important that we continue to invest in inclusive, sustainable and enjoyable spaces for people of all ages. These upgrades would help revitalise existing parks and make them even better places for residents and visitors to enjoy."
Voting is now open on the Engage Victoria website and closes 3 August 2026.
