Voucher Program Boosts Aboriginal Food Ventures

  • Bushfood Supply Chain Voucher program to boost business incubation and development support across Western Australia
  • $130,000 funding round with vouchers of up to $10,000 available
  • Cook Labor Government providing quality jobs and business opportunities

The Cook Labor Government has launched a supply chain voucher program for Aboriginal-owned bush and agrifood businesses across Western Australia to build capability and support growth.

The Bushfood Supply Chain Voucher program aims to empower emerging and expanding Aboriginal businesses across Western Australia's bushfood and bush products industries.

Vouchers of up to $10,000 per business are now available, providing specialist support, business planning tools, and market connections to develop sustainable, high-grade operations, and meet growing domestic and international demand for high-value Aboriginal bushfood and bush products.

The program's pilot round, which closed earlier this year, awarded vouchers to six businesses specialising in bush tea, honey, bush remedies, fusion catering, snacks, and beverages.

More program information is available online from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development website .
