Voyage in light at museum

The museum

A luminous sea adventure is on at the Australian National Maritime Museum, artfully blending a soft soundscape and light, to create a magical interactive experience for the whole family.

Sea of Light by Patch Theatre invites you to traverse the sand with a UV torch as your paintbrush, to paint and stencil your own voyage in light. Steer ships that leave glowing paths of light in their wake as you sail them across the seas, then dive below the surface to uncover luminous treasures in hidden reef worlds.

Sea of Light is an immersive, phosphorescent playscape that invites participants to sketch, sail, bounce, crawl and squiggle their way through a series of creative and captivating interactive installations.

The experience runs until January 30, 2022 and is presented by the museum, Patch Theatre and Sydney Festival.

Bookings are essential. Entry included in general admission to the Maritime Museum.

Recommended for ages 4 and up.
