Wageline expands social media campaign to Twitter

Wageline at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety has launched its Twitter account.

The Inquiry into Wage Theft in Western Australia recommended a social media campaign to raise the level of employer and employee awareness of employment rights and obligations and the pathways for resolving an underpayment.

In November 2020, Wageline launched its social media campaign with a Facebook page.

The Wageline Twitter account will provide another way for Western Australians to stay up to date with state employment laws.

Wageline social media followers can expect information and updates on minimum pay rates, public holidays, long service leave, and other conditions of employment.

Information on employer obligations under state employment laws is also available on the Wageline website or by calling on 1300 655 266.

The WA Government wage theft website advises Western Australian workers on how to resolve an underpayment issue or report wage theft anonymously.
