Murray River Council will take several of its monthly council workshops on the road this year, with Wakool first on the list next Tuesday 12 August.
Council workshops are less structured than the formal council meetings, offering more flexibility to set aside time to catch up with local communities.
Mayor, Cr John Harvie said there is a lot of value in travelling to different towns for meetings.
"It's a great chance for all councillors to get out and about to different areas of the council and see local projects, issues or developments first-hand."
"Visiting other locations also gives our community the opportunity to check-in with their councillors and gives us a chance to personally engage with local residents."
"We're inviting residents from Wakool and surrounds to pop in for a quick lunch and chat next week, so we hope to see a few locals there."
Wakool will host the Council workshop next Tuesday 12 August, 2025.
Community members are invited to attend lunch with the councillors for an informal meet-and-greet at the Wakool Bowling Club, 12pm to 1pm.
A light lunch will be provided.
