Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a truck fire burning on Maryborough Hervey Bay Road, near the Dundowran Road turn-off. The truck was carrying a load of hay when the load caught fire around 4am. Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire which is currently producing a large volume of smoke that may affect nearby residents. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
