A serious violent offender who was in breach of an interim supervision order has been arrested by police in North Shore overnight.
The 27-year-old has been charged with 11 offences including:
• contravene a condition of an interim supervision order by using prohibited drugs,
• contravene a condition of an interim supervision order by damaging disabling and removing an electronic monitoring device,
• contravene a condition of an interim supervision order by failing to reside at a designated address, and
• criminal damage
The charges follow an extensive search and public appeal for information by police after the Fawkner man tampered with and removed an electronic monitoring device on Sunday 1 August.
He was arrested at a property in North Shore on Saturday 7 August about 8pm and has been remanded in custody to appear before Geelong Magistrates' Court on Monday.
