Eastern Beaches detectives have located and charged an Irish National who was wanted over an alleged one-punch assault and an unrelated stabbing.
Last month, officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command appealed to the community in relation to the whereabouts of a 29-year-old man who was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested the man at an office on George Street, Parramatta, about 1pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 September 2020).
He was taken to Parramatta Police Station, where the arrest warrants were executed, and he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 1 October 2020).
