Warrant issued after hit-run collision in Wheelers Hill

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Jeremy Jose following a hit-run collision that left a man with serious injuries in Wheelers Hill earlier this month.

It is believed a stolen Ford Ranger was travelling west along Mackintosh Road when the driver lost control and collided head-on with a parked car about 6pm on Tuesday 8 February.

The owner of the parked car was looking into the boot of his car at the time of the collision and was thrown backwards.

The male driver of the stolen vehicle ran from the scene.

The victim, a 42-year-old Mulgrave man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and have released an image of Jose in the hope someone has information on his current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Jose, or has information about his whereabouts, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link
