Warrant issued for arrest following man's death at Wollongong, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man following the death of another man at Wollongong, NSW Police say.

Just before 6am today (Friday 4 May 2018), emergency services were called to Denison Street after reports of a fight.

A 39-year-old man was found seriously injured and taken to Wollongong Hospital where he died a short time later.

Officers from Wollongong Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

A warrant has now been issued for the arrest of 52-year-old Michael Graham Gale.

Gale is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, with a medium build and fair blond hair.

Anyone who sees Gale or believes they know his whereabouts is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
