Melbourne Crime Investigation Detectives are appealing for public assistance to help locate James Balcombe.
A warrant has been issued for the 54-year-old's arrest after he failed to appear at court in relation to ten counts of arson.
Balcombe is known to frequent the Mernda and Eltham areas
He is described as Caucasian in appearance with long grey hair, glassed and a medium build.
Police have released an image of Balcombe in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his whereabouts.
