WATCH: APIA cause FFA Cupset over Wanderers

APIA Leichhardt caused the first FFA Cupset of 2021 on Tuesday night with a nail-biting 2-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers at Leichhardt Oval.

Former Wanderers trialist Jason Romero opened the scoring for APIA in the first half after the home side capitalised on a Ziggy Gordon error.

Tynan Diaz then scored one of the best long-range goals in FFA Cup history with a stunning lob over Wanderers goalkeeper Daniel Margush.

It proved to be the winner, with Wanderers' goal with 20 minutes to go not enough to spark a comeback.

APIA will now welcome Central Coast Mariners in the Quarter Finals, with match details to be confirmed shortly.
