A large water main has broken, affecting water supply in the Cairns CBD, including Minnie Street, Florence Street and sections of Mulgrave Road.
A contractor working for an external organisation has unfortunately bored through the main.
Council crews are on site and advise that it be may be several hours until water supply could be restored.
