Weapons Charges, Main Beach

Police have charged two men following a disturbance in Main Beach yesterday, 18 September.

It will be alleged about 5.15pm, police were called to the corner or Muriel Henchman Drive and Seaworld Drive to reports a group of men were pointing weapons towards nearby bushland.

It will be alleged, two men were in possession of gel blasters.

A 42-year-old Main Beach man and an 18-year-old Southport man were both charged with one count each of going armed to cause fear.

They are both expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday, 2 October.

Investigations are ongoing.
